2.8 Brief about Invention An anti blowout device for a butterfly valve comprising a valve body accommodating a shaft and a thrust plate, characterised in that the thrust plate is split leaving a gap for the shaft to slide into place in the said gap; at least one flat provided on the periphery of the said shaft; a mating groove provided on the thrust plate, said flat engaging with the said groove when the shaft is slid into the said gap, whereby the groove and the flat are immovably locked to each other, preventing the shaft and the thrust plate being detached from each other during operation of the said valve

2.10.1  US3941141 Locking apparatus for a ram type blowout preventer having a housing with a passageway through which a tubular member may pass; rams movable between a non-sealing position in the housing, in which the passageway is open, and a sealing position in which the passageway is sealingly closed; and an operator assembly for moving the rams between the non-sealing and sealing positions. 2.10.2  US4052995 A new and improved ram lock for blowout preventer rams which permits locking of the ram at multiple and adjustable positions to compensate for wear on sealing elements of blowout preventer rams and increase sealing action of the ram without requiring separate special control lines. Automatic locking of the ram at a desired position, such as in sealing position, is obtained.
2.10.3 US5190106 An injection valve for use in a well having a valve closure element positioned below a valve seat moving between an open position to a closed position on the valve seat for blocking off upward flow through the bore, but allowing downward flow. A flow tube is telescopically movable in the housing for controlling the movement of the valve closure member and a piston is movable in the housing and connected to the flow tube and exposed to fluid in the bore. An upwardly facing shoulder on the flow tube receives a retrievable orifice member for providing a force for fully opening the valve when fluid is injected downwardly through the bore. A retrievable lockout sleeve is provided to lock the valve open when the retrievable orifice is removed.
