2.8 Brief about Invention The invention relates to an instantaneous air-heating unit. The invention comprises a hot air intake hood which is disposed partially against the exhaust gas collectors of the engine of the vehicle, preferably when the vehicle is being started. According to the invention, an air duct connects the aforementioned hood to a small turbine or an extractor which drives the air to the enclosure, the front and rear windows or the outside rear-view mirrors through one or more suitable ducts. Moreover, a thermostat is used to shut down the instantaneous heating and start up the standard heating using a manual or electric butterfly valve, thereby stopping the turbine.

2.10.1  US4335849 This invention relates to motor vehicles having passenger compartment heating devices. The temperature of the cooling water of an engine may be increased at idling speeds and low speed states by throttling the engine exhaust to increase fuel consumption. A throttle device is controlled in accordance with cooling water temperature and passenger compartment temperature, in response to activation by manual control. Manual control is overridden by an accelerator pedal actuated control when the load of the engine rises. Heat is extracted from the engine cooling water by means of a heat exchanger, through which air is driven into the passenger compartment. A brake is connected to an independently actuated device to throttle the exhaust to brake the engine. This arrangement is particularly suitable for use with diesel engines.

 

2.10.2 US4982895 A heating system for automotive vehicles comprises a heater core utilizing engine coolant, a blower disposed upstream of the heater core, and a closed-loop pipe heating system utilizing exhaust heat from exhaust gas. The pipe heating system comprises an evaporator section disposed in an exhaust gas passage, a condenser section disposed downstream of the heater core, a pipe section defining a first fluid passage from the evaporator section to the condenser section, a return pipe section defining a second fluid passage from the condenser section to the evaporator section, working fluid circulating in a fluid passage defined in the evaporator section and condenser section, and in the first and second fluid passages, sensors for monitoring whether activation of the pipe heating system is required, and flow control means disposed in the return pipe section, for controlling working fluid flow from the condenser section to the evaporator section, in response to signals from the sensors.

 

2.10.3  US6155042 An exhaust recirculation of gases in internal combustion engines, notably for automobiles, which has a catalytic converter, recycling apparatus for recycling the exhaust gases and heat recovers apparatus for recovering heat from the exhaust gases. A single heat exchanger is arranged for cooling the recycled exhaust gases and recovering the heat energy from the exhaust gases for heating the passenger compartment of the vehicle and for protecting the catalytic converter from excessively high exhaust temperatures. Valves for diverting exhaust gases, a back-pressure valve and an EGR valve are controlled for this purpose by control electronics. The invention is particularly applicable to direct-injection petrol or diesel engines or to lean-mixture petrol engines.
